            Dear Diary

Today was probably one of the most dangerous days of my life. I
could have been eaten by a bear but a bottle of chili spray saved my life.

Well, this is how it all started. My family and I went for a picnic. We
packed all kinds of things like a first aid kit, chili spray, mosquito spray and
some food. We were in Canada on a two-week vacation. Well, anyway, we
rented a caravan and Dad drove around a national park. There was a river
nearby so Dad decided to have our picnic there. After I laid out the picnic

down and started to rinse the fruit. There were water particles in the air and
a mini rainbow could be seen when the sun shone on them. When I was
admiring it, one of the fruits was washed down the stream.

I was about to chase after it, but just as I was about to stand up, I
noticed that the rainbow had vanished and so had the reflection of the sun
in the water. All of a sudden, a shadow fell over me and I thought Dad
was playing tricks on me again. I asked him to stop it but I didn’t get any
response so I started to panic. With a sense of panic in my voice, I shouted,
